Inspiring kids to inspire and provide for kids less fortunate than themselves will be a lifelong work... Caring and providing for orphans will hopefully be a sizeable part of that work for me as RiverSally. Especially on my heart are those orphans in parts of the world that seem to go "below the radar"... one such place is Japan.
My heart has been particularly touched by the recent and unprecedented increase in orphans and orphanages across Japan... Having lived, studied, and worked in Japan for an extended period of time, I hope to be part of the solution in making life better for orphans in Japan and in finding tangible ways to show them that they are valued and much-loved... and importantly, that they are NOT forgotten!
Let me shout it out loud across the airwaves:
"Orphans of Japan, you are NOT forgotten...! You are valued and much-loved!!! RiverSally loves you!!!"
