RiverSally’s style as a producer and director is characterised by the following: passionately clear vision, collaboration, nurture, excellence, tenacity to realise vision, and the kind of leadership that draws fullest potential out of everything: people, resource, finance, synergy, opportunity. Sally is married to her best friend, Nic, and is the mother of Samuel James (aged 3½ yrs). Together they live in Sydney, Australia. Sally’s journey began in the country town of Orange (NSW) where she was born and raised by her parents alongside her older brother and sister in an atmosphere soaked with music, theatre, creativity and a strong sense of community and extended family. Inspired by her own journey and the physical challenges she had to overcome both in her early childhood and as a young adult, Sally discovered that challenges create opportunity for personal growth and developed empathy for people who, for whatever reason, are hurting. Sally’s desire to inspire, to impact and to provide for others are rooted in these empathies. These fueled and shaped her life vision also: “To let people know that they are valued and much-loved.” Her desire to encourage and place value upon orphans is a natural step for RiverSally, given her roots.
Sally has a Bachelor of Music Education (Hons, Sydney Conservatorium of Music), Teaching Certificate (NSW Dept of Ed), and Masters of Art (Biola University, Los Angeles, USA). Her future aspiration is to grow her production company, Greenwood House, in order to ultimately produce/co-produce a lifelong-dream project. Her mandate to is to show people that they are valued and much-loved, which is where the journey began and how it will journey on.
